Business Coaching for owners who are tired of spinning wheels

You built something real. Revenue came in, staff grew, complexity followed. Now the business runs you instead of the other way round. We change that, usually within 90 days.

Four patterns we see in every stalled business

Most owners who ring us describe one of these situations. Sometimes two overlap. Recognising the pattern is the first step; the second is doing something about it before another quarter slips past.

Revenue plateau

Sales have flattened for six months or more. Marketing spend goes up, but the numbers barely move. The pricing model hasn't been reviewed since year one.

Founder bottleneck

Every decision passes through you. Holidays feel impossible. Your team waits for your approval on things they should handle themselves.

Hiring headaches

Good people leave within 18 months. Recruitment costs keep climbing. You suspect the problem is cultural, but you can't pin it down.

Profit leak

Revenue looks healthy on paper, yet cash is always tight. Margins have eroded and nobody can explain exactly where the money goes each month.

What happens after you reach out

Week 1: diagnostic call (free, 45 minutes)

We talk through your numbers, your team structure, and what keeps you up at night. No pitch deck, no upsell. By the end you will know whether coaching is the right lever for your situation, or whether you need something else entirely.

Weeks 2–3: deep audit

We review your P&L, interview two or three key staff members (with your permission), and map your operational workflow. This produces a written report with five to eight specific recommendations ranked by impact and effort.

Weeks 4–12: implementation sprints

Fortnightly coaching sessions, each 90 minutes. Between sessions you execute one or two changes from the audit. We hold you accountable, troubleshoot problems in real time, and adjust the plan as results come in.

Month 4 onward: review and release

We step back to monthly check-ins. The goal is to make ourselves unnecessary. If the numbers and habits are holding, we close the engagement. If a new challenge surfaces, we extend on a month-by-month basis only.

What our clients achieved in 2024

23% Average revenue increase within six months
11 hrs Founder time freed per week on average
4.2× Return on coaching fee (median, self-reported)
91% Clients who renewed or referred another owner

These figures come from exit surveys completed by 34 coaching clients between January and December 2024. Individual results vary. We do not guarantee specific financial outcomes.

Built on 15 years of running (and nearly losing) a business

Before coaching became the work, there was a recruitment firm that grew to 22 staff, almost went under in 2016, and recovered only after a painful restructuring. That experience taught lessons no MBA covers: how cash actually moves, why good employees quit, and what it feels like when your identity is tangled up with your company's survival.

Proactive Biz Solutions exists because of those lessons. We coach from operational experience, not theory. Every recommendation we make is something we have tested in a real business with real payroll obligations.

Based in Northern Ireland, we work with owner-led businesses across the UK, both in person and over video. Most clients have between 5 and 80 employees and turn over £500k to £10m.

Before you pick up the phone

The diagnostic call is free. After that, a typical 12-week engagement runs between £2,400 and £4,800 depending on scope. We quote a fixed fee before any commitment, and there are no hidden charges for email support between sessions.

Rarely. Our methods work best for businesses that already have revenue and at least a small team. If you are pre-revenue, we can point you toward accelerator programmes that are a better fit.

Yes. About half our clients are outside Northern Ireland. We use Zoom or Teams. The audit stage may require one in-person visit if your operations involve physical premises, but that is arranged case by case.

We will tell you. The diagnostic call exists precisely for that reason. Sometimes the answer is a fractional CFO, or a specific HR consultant, or just a better accountant. We would rather send you to the right resource than sell you something that will not work.

At the start of every engagement we agree on two or three measurable targets: a revenue number, a margin percentage, hours freed per week, staff retention rate, or similar. We track those numbers monthly and share a simple dashboard so progress is visible to both of us.
